I would really like to be a kinder employee. I would like to ask for time off when I know that I plan to take time off, because it’s the nice, polite thing to do. However, asking for time off puts you in a dangerous position. You see, when you ask, it gives someone the option of saying no, and a no can really fuck up the best plans.

This isn’t to say I have never asked for a day off work. I’ve asked for numerous days off during my illustrious career of doing as little as possible while simultaneously taking as much money as I can get. I have even had days approved.

But the fact holds, when it really really matters, I never ask.

Do you like ATVs? You know, that is one of the advantages of living in the rural areas as opposed to a city. You see, in the more rural areas are where you will find things like quad and ATV racing. Hillary, seriously, I am still with you. I am. I am with you because I think you stand the best chance of winning against John McCain. I am with you, because many of the ideas that Obama has were your ideas first. I am with you, because you are smart, you are strong, you are formidable, and I believe that you can get things done.

But here is my wish. My wish is that you would calm my down. My wish is that you would remind people of what makes you strongest, smartest, and the most likely to rescue this economy before we hit another depression, which is quickly closing in. I wish you would stop attacking. You don’t need attacks. You are the best candidate. No matter how many people hate you, and no many you have caused to hate you thoughout this campaign, I believe the most in your abilities and your ideas.

Nothing pisses me off quite as fully as reading the quote by a group of ten employees from a company who went in together and purchased a winning lottery ticket stating that they are going to stay at their jobs. If they were planning to stay at their jobs regardless of the outcome, why the fuck were they playing the lottery?

You see, lottery money should go to someone who is hoping to give their job the ultimate flip-off, not to a bunch of douches who are now extraordinarily wealthy, but still want to work.

And in an economy like ours is right now, with unemployment up, up, up, and opportunity down, down, down, there is a line of people queued up for these jobs. Even if you really like your job, why take the employment you don’t need? You will still be a douche for jonesing to work, but you could at least be a decent human being and step aside.
